Trail Highlights:      The route follows portions of old logging roads through pinion juniper forest.  Vista points offer panoramic views of the White Mountains, including Mount Baldy.  The trail passes many tanks and provides ample opportunities for wildlife viewing.  Javalina, mountain lion, and turkey are a few of the species seen in this area.  This trail can be long, hot and dry during the summer.  A portion of the trail sustained the fire damage during the Rodeo-Chediski fire of 2002 and presents a view of how the landscape changed in the years following this event.
