Trailhead Parking: Yes, accommodates trailers

Access to Trail:       From the Lakeside Ranger Station, travel south on AZ 260 0.1 mile. Turn left on Porter Mountain Rd. (FR 45) for 2.2 miles, then right on Porter Mountain Rd. (FR 45) at the junction with Penrod Rd. Travel 3.4 miles to the trailhead on the left.

Trail Highlights:      On a clear day, views from the top of Twin Knolls extend to the San Francisco Peaks which are located north of Flagstaff. The trail passes through a portion of the Woolhouse Wildlife Habitat area. The Woolhouse area is closed to motorized vehicles for habitat protection. Two connector trails (Sawmill and Flume) head west to Timber Mesa Trail.

Note:                          This trail has been recently rerouted into beautiful wooded areas, and through some lovely scenic vistas.
